William R. Darling Dies
of Heart Attack

J. William R. Darling, 59, broth-
ier oi John W. Darling of Elmore,
died suddenly of a heart attack
at Lexington, Ky., about 1 A. M.
Monday. He and his wife, whose
home is in Detroit, were on their
way to Florida for his health and
were stopping at the Lafayette
Hotel m Lexington for the night
when he suffered the heart at¬
tack.
Fred Sabrosky, accompanied by j
Jim Darling and a brother-in-law
of the deceased, left early Mon¬
day for Lexington and brought
the body to Elmore and on Tues-1
day Albert Bnrmann, accompan- I
ied by John Darling, continued:
with the body to Detroit, where j
last rites were held Thursday af- l
ternoon. j
Mr. Darling was the son of j
Chas, J, and Mary Elizabeth Dar¬
ling of Elmore and be grew to
manhood here. He became an
employe of the Wheeling & Lake
Erie Ry. and served that com¬
pany most of his life, chiefly at
Oak Harbor. For a number of
years he has lived in Detroit,
where he was an employe of one
of the big passenger steamship
! lines.
| His only child, Frank, died of
blood poisoning several years
j ago, Surviving are his widow,
! his brother John of Elmore, his
I only aunt, Mrs. Olivia Stark of
Clyde, and nephews. Jack and
Jim Darling of Elmore, and Paul
j Darling, believed to be in the
WeSt. but could not be located at
this time.
