Q
Rites For David Ames
Funeral services for David Ames, who died at his home on South Toledo street last Thursday evening, were held from the Trinity M. E. church Sunday after¬ noon, Rev. K. W. Scheufler officiating. Mr. Ames had been in failing health for the past four years and for the past nine months his strength failed rapidly. He followed the occupation of a station¬ ary engineer and was working for the Farmers' Elevator Co. here when his failing caused him to give up his work.
Mr. Ames was born on a farm near Elmore on June 29, 1853, making his age at death 76 years, 10 months and 9 days. He quietly observed his 55th wedding anniversary last month.
He is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Glenn Wood and John Ames of this place, and Welby Ames of Flint, Michigan, also a brother, Stephen Ames, of Latty, Ohio, and 17 grandchildren and four great-grand¬ children.
