>March' 31; 1907, he was united in marriage with Miss Bessie. Witty who preceded him in death January 21, 1919. To this union were bom six children, two of whom died in infancy. The (four who survive are Clifford, Helen, Martha and Leonard,
He was a member of the United Brethren Church, fatihful in the dis¬ charge of his Christian obligations. Hei'i was also a member of Elmore Lodge, Knights of Pythias, No. 261. : ><,Mr. Arndt was a hard working farmer, frugal and industrious, a faithful husband, a good*father, a kind ;n3i£hbor, and was helq\in high esteem bv all who knew him. , ; ¦ "He leaves to mourn his departure, besides the four children, a mother, Mrs. Augusta- Arndt, six brothers,. Herman.and William of Onawa, Iowa, Le\yis and Ferdinand of Toledo,. Au¬ gust of Woodville and. Fred of Gray¬ town; four sisters, Mrsc Ov Rehfeldt,¦• Mrs. E. Lau, Mrs, H. V The funsral services were held at \ the r Trinity tM, E. Church, Elmore, Monday after noon, October 16, con¬ ducted by his former pastor, Rev. T. 0. Oopus, pastor of the U. B. Church, Bloomville, Ohio, who was assisted by Rev. H. G. Swope, local M. E/pastor.
