My dear Sister
Altho I have not received an answer to my
last I feel disposed to devote part of this afternoon in scribling
to thee again being in Town as usual on first days and
our afternoon Meeting not beginning till 6 O Clock sometimes
I go to the Middle Meeting which begins at 4 and
divers of their members get to our evening gathering
space
tho it leaves but a ^ space between to take a dish of Tea
- yet I can attend two meetings thus, after taking a quiet
repose after dinner much better or to more satisfacti
will be
on than 3 O Clock Meetings to morrow ^ the
time of our Quarterly Meeting the Select company
met Yesterday and a Minute was read from our
Monthly Meeting expressive of our belief that Hannah
Evans had received a Gift in the Ministry which
was very Cordially United with she has appear d
several years at times (in a few words) with acceptance
and I am glad the matter is thus resulted, as I have
for some time thought her situation a trying one
like as between a Minister and Elder the one
I mention d in my last, has continued, frequently to
open his mouth in our several Meetings - & I suppose
many apprehend him on very doubtful ground
and there is much talk about him but I think
it safest for me to keep on the merciful side
feeling very tenderly for such exercised minds I dont
want to write much but as the Subject is interesting,
thought I would just mention it again supposing thou
