Such activity is In motion now as Gallery Playera pre¬ pare "All My Sons," Drama Critics award-winning play by Arthur Miller, Feb. 11-12 at the Jewlah Center.

Mrs. Nathan Nedelman, Decor¬ ations chairman, has created many attractive favprs and decorations which win transform the social hall of the synagogue Into a glam¬ orous,   dreajnlike  atmosphere.
Foods, prepared by Sisterhood's cooks under the leadership of Mrs. Martin Godofsky and Mrs. William Rosen, will be a feature of the eve¬ ning. The buffet will feature such delicacies as stuffed klshka. chic¬ ken knlshes, gefilte fish, sweet and sour meat balls and many other dainties.
Admission to the cocktail party is by $100 in sales tax stamps per person or Its equivalent, .value in cash of $3 per person. All funds realized by Sisterhood are used for the maintenance of the Sunday Religious School and the Youth Activities   Program.

A man with an Interesting and colorful background, Max Varon has lived tn Jerusalem since 1939, when he came there after fleeing for hia life In Germany. In 1941 he enlisted for service, joining the British Brigade, and saw service In Italy and North Africa. After the war he was active ifl; Haganah, taking part In the reacue operation of Jews then languishing in con¬ centration camps. He helped many of them find there way to Israel. The New Yoi'k Consul spent four years working In England as both Director of the Jewish National Fund and co-director of the Joint Palestine Appeal. He came to New York on his present assignment last November.

Al¬ ao, a large advertisement In the New York Times, (Jan. 27), placed by the American Christian Pales¬ tine- Committee and algned by prominent Americans in every walk of life that "urge our Gov¬ ernment to make available to Is¬ rael without delay the legitimate means for its self-defense.
"Israel's enemies, encouraged by lavish supplies of weapons of de¬ struction from the Communist world, are making rapid prepara¬ tions to unleaalx a new round of war which their leaders assert will destroy Israel. A renewed war a- gttlnst Israel would set the whole Middle East aflame, endangering the peace of the world.
"WE CANNOT." the statement continues, "accept the view held hy some (if our British friends that war can be forestalled or prevent¬ ed by applying pressures to Israel td yield territory to the Arab sUtes. Wo recall the historic fail¬ ure of the Munich Conference to avert World War II by forcing democratic Czechoslovakia to sur¬ render its territories to Nazi Ger¬ many. Plans for the 89th annual birth¬ day luncheon of the Columbus Section of the Ntitlonal Council of Jewish Women Indicate a gay, ex¬ citing afternoon Tuesday, 12:30, at Giro's, 28M E. Main St.
Mrs. Henry Gurevitz, hospitality chairman, and her co-chairman, Mrs. Joseph Sklllten, Have planned the luncheon. The center pieces and decorations will be most unique and Interesting. The mem¬ bers so artiaflcally gifted and i clevor who have made the appoint¬ ments to fulfill the anniversary theme include: Mesdames Samuel Gup, K. L. Kauffman, B. T. Annual joint meeting of the PTA of (Vilumbus Hebrew School and lhe Ivreeyoh Society will be held Thuraday at the Jewlah Center. 8 p. m.
"Our Hebrew School and How II Functions" will bo the topic of a panel discussion presided over by Mra. Sam Stellman, program chairman. Other members of the group will Include Maurice Bern¬ stein, executive director of the United Jewish Fund; Daniel Hiarrl- sort, prlnqipal of the Hebrew School.
