Mr. speaker. The houite of representatives have referred to a commit¬ tee of three members, a memorial of certain road comjnis- sioners appointed to lay out a road from Mt- V^ernon to Sandusky, &.€. praying that a law may be passed authoriz- ini; the county commissioners of tlie counties through whicb said roads pass, to allow them compensation for tlie same— to report tliereon. On motion. The senate tiien resolved itself into a committee of the whole, upon the preamble and r&solutiun offered on yester¬ day, by Mr. Col«, upon the subiect of reducing certain fees and suaiies ; and after some time spent tlierein tlie speak¬ er resumetl the cliair, and Mr. M'Lean reported, that tlie committee according to ortler, had had under consideration tJie said preamble and resolution, and had stricken out said preamble, which report he presented at 4he clerk's table.
