Rcubtan Waod, Esq. a member of the Senate, from the counties of Huron, Cuyahoga and Lorain, appeared and took his scat.
On nriotion of Mr Blackburn,
The Senate took up the resolution heretofore offered by him; which being read, was agreed to, as follows, to wit:
Resolved, That a committee of three members be appointed to en* quire what anrondments, if any are necessary, to tbe act relating to ju¬ ries, with instructions to report a bill pioviiling for the payment of Petit Jurors, by n daily allowance, to be paid nut ofthe county treasu- rv, and for the payment into the county treasury ofthe jury fees, in all c?ises a« now paid.
Ordered, That Messrs Blackbum, Gardiner and Kooken be said committee.
Ordered, That the House of Representatives be informed thereof
A message from the House of Representatives. Mr Speaker,
The House have passed a resolution appointing a joint committee to report what anendmentsare necessary to the act fixing the times of holding judicial courts, ia which they request the concurrence of tlie Senate.
Thereupon, the Senate took up f^u\ resolution, wliicli I;eij)g read, was agreed to, and filled tbc blank with four members as a Committee on the part ofthe Senate.

Mr Lucas offered for Jidoption a resolution, which was taken up, read and agreed to, as follows, to wit:
Resolved, Tbat tbe Senate will attend in the Representatives^ Hall on to-rarow,or at three o'^clock P. M. and then and there prcrccd in conformity to the provisions of the second section of the .«econd article of the Conjrtitution, to open and canvass the vctc? given at the last October Election, for Governor ofthe state of Olilo.
